Safety & Responsible Dating Policy

At Sober Attraction, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and intentional dating environment. While we provide tools designed to support safer connections, your personal safety ultimately depends on the choices you make when interacting with others on the platform.

By using Sober Attraction, you agree to follow the safety guidelines outlined below.

1. Protect Your Personal Information

  • Do not share sensitive personal details such as your home address, workplace, financial information, or government-issued identification.

  • Keep conversations within the app until you feel comfortable and have established trust.

2. Be Honest About Sobriety & Intentions

  • Be truthful about your sobriety level and what you are seeking in a relationship.

  • Members choose alcohol-free dating for different reasons, including recovery, health, faith, or personal preference. Take time to ensure values and expectations align.

  • If you are in recovery, consider how a potential match’s lifestyle supports your personal journey.

3. Prioritize Well-Being for Members in Recovery

  • If a conversation or interaction challenges your sobriety or personal boundaries, trust your instincts and disengage.

  • You are always entitled to end a conversation that feels unsafe, uncomfortable, or unhealthy.

  • Choose connections that support your well-being and personal growth.

4. Meet Virtually First

  • We strongly encourage using the Virtual Date feature before meeting in person.

  • Virtual meetings allow members to connect in a controlled environment and help verify comfort and compatibility.

5. In-Person Meeting Safety

If you choose to meet another member in person:

  • Meet in a public place such as a café, restaurant, or park.

  • Inform a trusted friend or family member of your plans.

  • Arrange your own transportation.

  • Trust your instincts and leave immediately if something feels unsafe.

6. Seek Support When Needed

  • If dating brings up emotional challenges or feels overwhelming, consider reaching out to a trusted friend, sponsor, or support group.

  • Your well-being always comes first.

7. Report Suspicious or Inappropriate Activity

  • Report suspicious behavior, harassment, or misuse of the platform immediately.

  • Reporting helps us maintain a safer community for all members.

8. Platform Disclaimer

  • Sober Attraction does not conduct background checks, verify identities, or guarantee the intentions or actions of members.

  • Members are solely responsible for their interactions, both online and offline.

  • Sober Attraction is not liable for any damages, losses, harm, or disputes arising from interactions between members, including conversations, meetings, or relationships formed through the platform.

By using Sober Attraction, you acknowledge and agree to these guidelines. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the platform.
